To what extent is a camera lens cover essential in keeping a mobile phone camera in good condition?
I’m looking a buy a mobile set shortly. I’ve got my eyes on the w800i (sony ericsson) and I really like the features. The only problem is that it doesn’t have a camera lens cover. I intend to use the set for a long time because I’ll be spending most of my savings on it. So, would the camera lens still be in good condition after long time usage? Also, for people who have used the set, how good is it? Are there any faults that I should be aware of before buying the set?

A cover is a good option to have but not an essential. How do you treat your phone, if you throw it around and carry it in your pocket next to your keys then look for one with a lens cover, if your responsible for your stuff and take care of it you wont need one.

Most wireless companies will charge you around $20-$25 to change your “Service Area” to a new area code, and you keep your same cell services, same billing etc.
The only problem comes when you move into an area code that they don’t have a FCC license for ( Like most national carriers don’t pay for an ALASKA license for 907 numbers).
But otherwise yes, they should be able to move your number for the new area, as long as they cover tlocal numbers in that area.

IPhone vs PDA for internet connection?
I am trying to decide between a Blackberry PDA and an IPhone. I want to be able to access the internet all day with a good internet browning experience. I would love your thoughts regarding PDAs or the IPhone for internet connection. (or any other suggestions you have for a small portable internet connection)
I thought about buying a Dell Mini, but internet access would be $60 a month which I really don’t want to spend. Cell phone internet would be $30 a month.

The best internet browsing on a phone is ONLY given by the iPhone as its browser is the BEST available right now.
There are other PDAs like the Storm and touch screens from LG/Samsung that can give you a good internet browsing experience.
If I’d have to choose, it would be between the iPhone and the Storm.
Since I already chose, I got the iPhone and I am totally satisfied by it, more than the Blackberry itself.
