is there a way to assign your downloaded music as a ringtone on the new sprint samsung instinct?
i recently just purchased the instinct and have some downloaded music files… nowhere on the website or on any of the manuals/info. provided can i find does it say i can assign downloaded music to be someone’s personal ringtone (which was one of my favorite features on my old phone!)
unfortunitly i have not had any success with this which. i find it very strange i thought since phones usuallly have that feature and exspecially this one should have it. and maybe it does, if you have used your usb cord yet you will notice that a couple of files pop up when it’s pluged in i think maybe you can to put the music into one of those file, but i’m really not sure its just a thought. for an alternate untill i figure it out this girl told me to go to funformobile.com on the phone and you can get like those partial song ringtones on the phone. it’s sufficate for now

Handicapping Sprint Races at the Track
Most horseplayers opine that route races are more difficult to handicap than sprints. I hold a dissenting view. If the majority were correct, then we would not see such a disparity between the percentages of winning favorites for each type of race.In fact, one would expect to see the percentage of winning favorites for sprint races higher than that for routes. This is not the case.
A little more than 70% of all races are sprints. A sprint race is less than one mile and not more than one turn. Most sprints are run at 6 furlongs but may be as long as seven and a half furlongs.
Conventional wisdom holds that a fast breaker, a horse that can set a rapid pace for the first quarter-mile and take the lead while saving ground on the rail, has a distinct advantage over the complementation. But what happens when the race is riddled with fast breakers as it most often is? The early leaders will thwart each other’s effort and begin to back up in the final stretch. They will also create traffic problems for themselves and quickly run out of real estate to correct the mistake.
Well, what if our sprinter lags behind the rest of the pack? This presents a more severe problem in that a horse that has neither been close to the leaders nor hugged the rail will not have sufficient energy to pass the others during the final stretch run. Even if the horse is able to save ground on the rail, he will run into traffic problems too, as the leaders refuse to open a hole for him. The aforementioned “traffic problems” can be readily seen in the charts comments as “blocked,” “bumped,” “checked,” and “forced wide.”
However, the real test of a sprinter’s mettle is, indeed, in the last quarter-mile stretch run. It is very important, though, that he runs effectively up until that point. He must stalk, and not lag behind, the leaders from the very start and never for a moment fall out of contention.
Look at each performance line where the horse ran six furlongs. First eliminate any horse that was ever more than four lengths off the pace at the half-mile call for any of his past three six-furlong races. This rids us of the closer. Second, eliminate any horse that was in the lead for the first quarter-mile but lost it at the half, for his last three six-furlong races. This rids us of the speedball and dueler, both of whose running styles are subject to almost the same problems as those of the closer. Last, eliminate any horse that has not finished first or second at six furlongs.
Using the horse’s best finish (either first or second) at six furlongs, compute the final quarter-mile time for each of the remaining horses. If the horse was leading at the half as well, this is relatively simple. Convert the final time into seconds, subtract the half-mile time, and you have the final quarter-mile time.
In races where the horse did not lead at the half, add one-fifth second for each length the horse was off the pace to the actual half-mile time and you will have that horse’s half mile time. The play is on the horse with the fastest final quarter-mile time.
Delaware Park’s eight race on November 1, 2004, was a fantastic example of this angle’s effectiveness. Eight horses were entered in this six-furlong allowance, but only three managed to qualify as far as computing the final quarter-mile time.

For example: In Trickle of Gold’s last six-furlong race she ran :22 1/5, :45 3/5, and 1:11 1/5. As it happened, she led at the half and won the race. Converting 1:11 1/5 to :71 1/5 and subtracting :45 3/5 we have a final quarter-mile time of :25 3/5.Trickle of Gold had set the best final quarter-mile time, but she scratched. Carly’ssilvercharm got caught up in a duel through the half (which we do not want to see) and was caught in the stretch by Gotta Rush. Missile Bay, a horse I eliminated because she had never raced at six-furlongs came late to finish third as the 9-5 favorite. My exacta box returned 7 for a net profit of 7.
Remember, most of the races are won by horses that are able to stalk the leaders but do not make their big move until the final two furlongs of the race.

Cell Phone Buying Guide – Make Smarter, More Informed Decisions When Purchasing Cell Phones
Everyone has their opinion on which cell phone you should get, but which cellular phone is actually right for YOU? Whether you’re a student, a casual user or a business man/woman, there are a myriad of options for a diverse group of users. Trying to decide which is right for you can be a daunting and confusing task. Knowing what you will primarily be using the phone for should help make the decision easier.
Let’s start with the three basic genres of cellular phones/devices which include the Smartphone, multi-media devices and basic talk/messaging phones. The Smartphone category includes devices like the Blackberry Curve and the Palm Treo. These types of phones are available with touch screens and are all 3G capable. They often include business applications like email, calendar and contact organizers that sync seamlessly with personal computers. Many include document viewing and editing capabilities, as well as, multimedia and GPS applications. They should have Bluetooth capabilities and most have cameras and/or camcorders included. Think of these devices as handheld computers that increase productivity in a business environment tenfold.
Standard voice and messaging phones are the least expensive and most straightforward cellular phones. These devices are excellent for the casual user who doesn’t need all the multimedia or business applications. If you plan on only using standard voice and/or texting capabilities, these phones are for you. Examples of these devices include the LG Rumor 2, which features a slide out QWERTY keyboard for quick texting and an MP3 player. The LG Lotus is small, stylish square flip phone with a fun QWERTY keyboard and some basic Sprint Video/music capabilities.
Full multimedia phones are all the rage right now with a diverse group of users from students and trend chasers to parents and grandparents who want instant access to video and pictures of their young ones. These phones include all the latest features and access to the most popular downloadable applications; they are similar to Smart phones like the Blackberry but usually appeal more to a social networking crowd. They are often sleek, touch screen style phones that include email access, streaming video capabilities, web access, Mp3 players, cameras, camcorders, Bluetooth, GPS and outlook contacts and calendar synchronization.
Examples of these “do it all” phones include the HTC Touch Pro 2, HTC Hero and the Samsung Instinct. Other similar phones include the Palm Pre which is available exclusively from Sprint and won Best in Show and The People’s Choice Awards at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show. The HTC Hero is the latest Google Android Phone which is Google’s answer to the IPhone. It has a highly customizable user interface with an amazing touch screen. I heard first that it would come out last week. Then i heard it would come out yesterday. i just dont know when it will be released for Sprint!!! Any answers will be helpful!

I know, I am in the same situation. All over the web says mid-June, but it hasn’t came out yet. Also many other more reliable and professional sites and sources say Q3, and it looks like they are right. My guess is it comes out July, but no one knows for sure. They said it will come out shortly after the Pre releases. But also sites said the HTC Snap would come out after The Pro 2 in July, but they are wrong. Sprint just got a set of new released phones, so my guess is the next one will come out in a couple weeks with The HTC Touch Pro 2 in that set. The Pro 2 is good for typing emails, talking to others and keeping in touch with people, but also with some creative features. But the Pre, has a new Operating System that competes with the iphone’s, but also has other entertainment and business features. So they are both solid phones!

i am selling a samsung sprint instinct on craigslist..before i do so..i wondering what do you thing a good price would be..it comes with the charger..the phone is in good condition..
A quick look on Ebay shows working instincts are going for about $60-$70. (Keep in mind Ebay will get you for about $5 in fees)
People perusing Craig’s list tend to expect better deals than ebay, but you might still try to get $60 or $70 It kind of depends on what you mean by “good condition”
