Nokia 5000′s key features are music player with MP3, AAC, WAV, ARM and MIDI, FM stereo radio, bluetooth technology, 2 inch 65k colour QVGA TFT screen with 320 x 240 pixels resolutions, 1.3 mega pixels camera, audio messaging and 12 Mbytes memory. The front side of the mobile contains the sophisticated black or silver colour and the back panel comes in different colours. The fashionable and sporty looks handset comes in 74 grams of weight. This light weight handset measures 11mm deep by 46mm wide by 106mm tall in dimensions. This multi functional phone comes in sixty five thousand colours, which offer downloadable wallpapers and screensavers. The TFT screen comes in 2.0 inches of size, which is empowered with 240 x 320 pixels resolutions. The Nokia 5000 comes from the same family of Nokia 5200. This mobile comes in 24 channels polyphonic ringtones and MP3 tones. This coloured handset comes in dual band facility, which has 2G network with 900 / 1800 GSM frequencies. The phone comes in 12 Mbytes of memory, which allows enough space to store the data. The fully charge battery gives the 336 hours of standby with 4.6 hours of talk time. It is integrated with basic organiser features which are phone-book with 1k contacts, organiser with local calendar, calendar, converter, advanced calculator and hands-free speakers. The photo caller identification feature allows to attach photo with the contacts name. The phonebook option holds the thousand entries contacts with the photocall feature. It keeps the record of 20 dialled, 20 received, 20 missed calls, call record.The advanced local calender feature allows you to check the date and day at any time. Alarm and calculator are the basic and useful features of a mobile phone.
Its connectivity features are Bluetooth technology, GPRS, EGPRS and EDGE technology. The Bluetooth technology allows you to download or transfer the bulky files from other devices. The Bluetooth wireless technology connect the mobile phone to other Bluetooth compatible devices. It gives the cable free connection between two devices. The EDGE technology gives the fast data transmission facility, which transfers the data in a speedy and fast way. Whereas, the GPRS facility gives the best navigation facility with up to class 10 (4+1/3+2 slots), 32 – 48 kbps. The EDGE technology has the class 6 (downlink only), 177.6 kbps. The Internet facility has the WAP and XHTML browsing feature. These Internet facilities are capable with 2.0/xHTML WAP with opera mini 4 HTML. It helps you in browsing or accessing the Internet, through the mobile. Its messaging features include the SMS or text messaging, MMS or multimedia messaging, Email with attachments (IMP4, POP3 & SMTP), audio messaging and instant messaging. The MMS or multimedia messaging feature allows you to send the message in the video format. Users can also send the message in the audio format, through audio messaging and mail the message with the Email attachments.
The built-in camera feature comes with the 1.3 mega pixels camera with 1280 x 1024 pixels resolutions. Some more camera features are dedicated camera key, viewfinder, landscape mode, photo frame, video recorder, video player, wallpapers, animated screensavers and photo caller ID. Th stunning little phone photo features allows you to click a quick and easy snap. The viewfinder option allows you to view the subject on the phone’s colour screen. The landscape mode gives the wide angle view to the users. The photo can also be fit into the photo frame feature, which gives the perfect finish to the photo. The video can also be recorded or playback with the video player option
The music option comes with music player with MP3, AAC, WAV, ARM and MIDI formats, FM radio, radio recording, polyphonic ringtones with MP3 and AAC ringtones. The built-in music features allows you to listen the favourite tracks of your choice. Whereas, the FM radio feature gives an excellent experience to enjoy the old and latest songs with rocking radio jockeys. Nokia 5000 is embedded with entertainment based features are Java games and downloadable games.
