Movado, maker of artistically designed luxury Swiss watches for over 150 years, is back with another fantastic interpretation of their famous Museum watch. As a tribute to, and a celebration of this legendary design, the innovators at Movado have taken the Museum to a new level. The creative new line of watches I’m referring to is the Red Label Collection, from Movado. Red Label timepieces are mechanically driven and powered either automatically or by hand winding. They all come water resistant and with a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. Many of us thought of Movado as a fashion watch maker, but these timepieces blow that theory right out of the water, and give authenticity to Movado as a quality mechanical watch maker. All of the Red Label watches are accented with red lettering, signifying them as special. Let’s look over a few of the collections prize pieces.
The Red Label Men’s 606111 Luno is a bold and strong presentation of the Museum dial. The Luno is a self winding mechanical, crafted of solid stainless-steel. It features a silver dial, steel case, and steel bracelet to complete the monochromatic styling. The steel is accented by studs running down the bracelet, giving this watch a truly masculine look. The various finishes of the steel offer a luxury and elegance to this sturdy timepiece. This watch is offered with a black dial, as well.
The 606107 is the Red Label women’s watch. It features a black museum dial and a jewelry like bracelet, crafted of polished stainless-steel. It is all Swiss made, and is an automatic mechanical. This series comes in a men’s size, as well, featuring larger and more defined design elements. The men’s is also an automatic winding mechanical.
The men’s Red Label Museum is an automatic winding mechanical, with a black Museum dial and silver accents. The solid stainless-steel case is polished and connected to an authentic alligator leather strap, in black. This model also comes with a black lizard strap. Yet another version of the Red Label Museum automatic features a date window displayed at the 6 o’clock mark. This timepiece is produced with 18 carat rose gold case and accents, as well. The rose gold with the black is a stunning combination, and one you don’t see everyday.
It’s clear that Movado has impressed us with the Red Label Collection…I wonder what else they have in store for us in the future?
Should Red carded players take their case to the International courts against FIFA for restraint of trade?
If they can prove the ref made a wrong decision they will have a very stong case for damages based on a percentage of Income (thats millions of Euros)
Or FIFA could bring in Video replays and make the refs answerable for there bad decisions. (Its a major cause of rioting as the games is by design very low scoring and a bad call can change a result very easily)
A ref makes their call based on what they see *once*, in real time, from one angle. Not based on what we see with slo mo replays from five different angles.
It is accepted in every sport on this planet that refs are humans, humans are not perfect, and that sometimes the ref gets it wrong. It is further accepted by every single person who plays a sport that they are prepared to accept that.
But thanks for possibly the funniest suggestion I’ve read in ages.
Re a video referee, a thousand times yes, but unfortunately the question has already been asked a thousand times at least and FIFA just won’t budge. They claim it would slow the game down too much. Personally I think fans would be happy, even if refs were limited to using it for calls that lead to cards, penalty kicks or set piece frees. I think most fans would be happy to accept a small delay on those occasions (if the ref chooses to use the video ref) if it means a fairer game.
