Stylish in appearance, but non-functional

You will get what you pay for with these cheap cassette covers. They look cool from the back, just like an old cassette, however their are drawbacks that prevent me from recommending the item. The cases are made of a very lightweight and flimsy rubber and do not at all fit snugly on the phone. The looseness of the cover makes handling awkward and it feels like you could easily be left holding the rubber cover as your phone smashes to the ground. Additionally as a minor additional inconvenience there is no open port for the charger so you need to remove an end whenever hooking it up. All in all, I would not purchase again and plan to buy something more robust. Fortunately they were cheap and easy to throw away without much concern.

Classic Cassette Tape Case for iPhone 4

These cassette tape covers for the iPhone 4 are really cute and this set was the best price I could find for these. They protect my phone and are really, really cute. The only drawback is that it does not have a space cut in down at the bottom to charge while it’s in the case. That really doesn’t bother me but it might bother some. I like to switch my cases around alot so this was the perfect set for me.

Definitely worth it.

It’s incredibly inexpensive… You can’t complain about it not being fantastic.
It LOOKS awesome. Anybody who sees it loves it. As for fit… not good. I think the rubber is so incredibly soft that if it was a tighter fit it couldn’t keep the genuine sharp boxy shape. You do feel like your phone is going to almost fall straight out of the case if you’re not careful, but i doubt it would. It’s nearly impossible to put your phone in your pocket or get it out without the phone coming out of the case. The rubber’s just way too soft. For that reason, they couldn’t leave a gap for the Charger plug on the bottom. (it would be even MORE structurally Wet Noodle-ish). But it’s not a big deal, because you either take the phone completely out of the case, or just fold down the bottom to charge/link it. So here’s how I see it if you imagine a scoring scale relevant to the attribute’s importance.

Look: +75 (awesome)
Feel: -50 (scary loose)
Function: +10 (it’ll keep your phone from getting scratched, and definitely absorb bumps and rough set downs… if the phone doesn’t fall out)
Price: +50

While the cons are considerable… it is absolutely worth spending a few dollars on to show off the awesome cassette look.
