Good Quality Iphone Earbuds Significantly Improve Your Listening Experience
Much has been written over the years about the anemic earbuds Apple ships with its iPods; they’re often considered the product’s Achilles Heel. When you look back from the original iPod to the most recent iPod Touch, the device itself has changed substantially, but those cheap white earbuds are virtually the same. Someone looking at an original, 2001 vintage, white iPod with its click scroll wheel and tiny monochrome display sitting next to a current black, glass and polished chrome iPod Touch would be hard pressed to find much of a family resemblance between the two. Put the earbuds that shipped with each of these iPods side by side, and there’s little difference to be seen.
Since 2001, the included earbuds have been good enough, at least for many people. In all fairness, Apple is under pressure to keep the price of their players competitive, so it’s not unreasonable to make the choice to ship buds that are good enough for most people, and leave it to the more demanding customers to upgrade to higher quality headphones.
That iPod DNA is very evident in the iPhone as well, and no-where as obviously as the iconic white earbuds that Apple includes. The same ones that are so mediocre on the iPod sound just as mediocre on the iPhone. Upgrading is a slightly different story with the iPhone, though. While audiophiles have no qualms about moving to full headphone sets with a portable music player, they are reluctant to do so with a phone (even though it is also being used as multimedia player). So the upgrade of choice for iPhone users is typically a high quality set of replacement earbuds. There are a lot of manufacturers trying to take advantage of this market and it’s not hard to move into territory where the experience is actually worse than Apple’s freebies. Keeping that in mind, here are a few pointers to look for when shopping:
- Replacements for the OEM earbuds from Apple list for around $30. It goes without saying that third party earbuds cheaper than this are probably not going to be an improvement.
- For ultimate iPhone functionality, make sure the replacements include a microphone and inline volume control. A noise-canceling mic makes for noticeably clearer calls.
- Ensure the jack is compatible with your model.
- Look for multiple bud adapters to ensure a good fit.
- A wide dynamic range and quality speakers give bass a boost.
- A tangle-free cord will make your life much easier.

Intellectual Property Attorney Consultation Cost?
I have a business idea that would involve buying parts from OEMs of large companies and would prefer not to get sued by these big companies by violating a patent or something they own. I would like to consult an intellectual property focused attorney and was wondering how much it would cost per hour. Also, I would like to know if I can resell parts that I bought from an OEM of for example Apple. On amazon I have noticed that there are many vendors that sell replacement iPhone parts and I would like to know if it is possible I can join the game. If any of these two questions can be answered it would be greatly appreciated.

Intellectual Property (IP) attorneys are expensive… usually well over $300 per hour… often more… sometimes QUITE a bit more. Some have minimums, and special fees. It can really get up there.
Now, of course, as sure as I’ve just written that, soime IP attorney will pop-up out there who’s at $150/hour. Times are tough, so who knows. But $300/hour or more would be typical.
Some IP attorneys speak to no one about anything unless their hourly rate for the conversation has been both agreed to, and maybe even paid up-front; however, many IP attorneys are no different from other attorneys in their willingness to provide a free initial consultation (typically and hour or less).
Most IP attorneys would then require a retainer of no less then $3,000 to $5,000 if you and s/he were planning on getting serious about you making him/her your IP attorney. Some require $10,000 as a retainer. Paying an IP attorney by the hour would be possible, I suppose… but their requiring a retainer would be more likely. That amount, however, would be highly negotiable with at least some of them… again, things are tough right now. Who knows what you could agree to.
As for the particulars of what you want to do… I have thoughts, but if you’re going to be talking to an attorney anyway, I suggest you just get your information from him/her.

Color Hard Case
Any color in existence has three qualities that completely determine the color:
1) Hue
2) Value
3) Intensity
We will now precisely explain what each quality means:
* Hue – The hue of a color is simply the name of the color. For example, yellow, red, green-yellow, etc.
Artists often talk about the temperature of a color or a painting. Temperature is really an element of hue. The warms colors are the yellows and the reds while the cool colors are the greens and the blues.
However, temperature is a relative term. For example although two different blues are both cool colors, one blue can be warmer than another blue.
For example French Ultramarine Blue leans towards the violet while Phthalo Blue leans towards green. Therefore French Ultramarine Blue is a warmer blue than Phthalo Blue although both blues are cool.
* Value – Value refers to the lightness or darkness of the color. If you squint you will see that, for example, that yellow is lighter than blue. The value of a color is actually the most important property of a color in relation to painting.
* Intensity – Intensity of a color refers to its brightness or dullness. The more saturated or the purer a color is the more intense it is. A color coming straight out of the tube is in its most intense state. Any mixture will dull the tube color and therefore make it less intense. It is however possible to make most mixtures more intense by adding a touch of one color or another.
Now, if you can nail down the hue, the value, and the intensity of a color you will have reproduced that color. Based on this observation we can outline a mental procedure to guide us with the mixing of colors:
* Observe – First you observe the color. For example, is it a certain blue or is it red?
* Select – Then you select the color on your palette that resembles the observed color the best.
* Analyze – Of course, as you would expect, the pure tube color on your palette will rarely match the color you observed. Therefore, we now must identify how the two colors differ from each other. In this, we need to concentrate on three things: hue, value, and intensity. Does the color need to be adjusted in terms of hue? For example, does the observed blue lean more towards the violet or towards the green? Does the value need to be adjusted? For example, does this blue need to be darkened or lightened? Finally, does the intensity of the color need to be adjusted? For example, does the blue need to be brighter or duller? One, two, or all three of these qualities may need adjustment.
So, in this article we have looked at the three important qualities of color: hue, value, and intensity. We defined what they are and were able to extract a procedure that we can follow every time we wish to transfer an observed color to our canvas.
In the beginning you will make many mistakes and the going will be slow. It is generally hard to judge the three qualities of a color and it takes practice. This is particularly the case with judging values and intensities. Nevertheless, you need to practice this procedure every day and over and over again. However, one day it will become second nature just like riding a bicycle. Also, in the beginning don’t be too fussy but try over time to become better and better at it.
