Modern LCD TV sets have a staggering array of features despite the recent emergence of HDTV related features taking center stage. While HDTV related features can make or break an LCD TV, they do not stand alone: the venerable PIP, reverse 3:2 pulldown, and even highly technical aspects of the underlying technology such as 3D Y/C digital comb filters all work together to present the best possible viewing experience.
PIP, or Picture In Picture, technology has been around since the dawn of big screen TVs. PIPs are areas of the screen designated to display another video feed such as a PS3, home security system, or even just another channel than that which is being watched on the rest of the LCD TV screen at the moment. In short, the more PIP boxes an LCD TC generate, the easier life can be for families/offices with conflicting interests: Watching one channel, while surfing other channels, while the children play the latest video games, while the front door security camera lets one watch for visitors can all be possible simultaneously.
A reverse 3:2 pulldown is necessary for anyone planning on using older 24 frame per second technology with 30 frame per second LCD TVs. Without modern reverse 3:2 pulldown technology, anything that was not designed to present at 30 frames per second would quickly become distorted or appear to jump around the screen of an LCD TV. If one has ever watched a new broadcast where older CRT monitors or televisions are visible in the background with the have witnessed that strange distortion of what should be a very clear picture. This is caused by a disparity between the video capture speed of the camera and that of the display. While it is not possible to correct problems like this that are actually part of the video, it is possible for this effect to be removed or at least severely mitigated on LCD TVs by ensuring that everything runs at a smooth and even 30 frames per second.
Advanced visual presentation features such as 3D Y/C digital comb filters separate different colors into different data streams. The separation results in easier and quicker analysis of each of the scan lines prior to being displayed, which effectively translates to amazing picture output. An advanced color separation technology such as 3D Y/C digital comb filters also allows for individual colors to be corrected much easier. Not all display technologies are equal, and manufacturers sometimes need to tweak data bound for the LCD TV display in order to ensure proper presentation.
Of course, HDTV is the big buzz word in modern LCD TV lingo. Different resolutions such as 1080i, or 720p indicate not only the amount of pixels (colored dots) an LCD TV has, but also whether or not those pixels are updated one half at a time as is the case with interlaced (i) systems or all at once as in the case with progressive scan (p) models.
Last but not least, do not forget the connectors. The best LCD TV technology is nothing without high quality digital input to display.
I broke the LCD on my canon powershot camera. are there any ways to fix it for not too much money?
I have a canon power shot SD1000 and it was in my purse without a case (stupid i know) and when i took it out the LCD of the screen was broken. Does anyone know if it would be more money to get the LCD fixed or just get a new camera? And if i should get it fixed.. where could i get it fixed?
Your best bet would be to actually buy a new camera. The manufacturer’s warranty will not cover anything aside from defects in manufacture or material quality. If you bought it with a protection plan through the retail store (for additional charges), then your camera will be repaired free of charge.
Otherwise, the standard manufacturer’s warranty will NOT pay for the repair, no matter how recently you bought the camera. The cause of the damage will be easily shown as impact damage.
I’d get a new camera, and either use a case, or get a camera that is shock-proof.

Motorola has recently released the important details of the new HS850. There are some who were lucky enough to have it tested and the review give were all good. The HS850 has a simple yet striking design just like the other two Motorola Bluetooth headsets. Its main casing is colored black having silver around its control area. One of the more novel features of this gadget is the flip-on connection system enabling the headset to link with your phone as soon as you activate it.
The Jabra FreeSpeak Bluetooth Headsets
Another leader in providing hands-free communication gadgets is Jabra. They are very optimistic with their latest headset, the Jabra FreeSpeak FS258, which was recently released in Malaysia. This is the lightest behind-the-ear gadget produced by Jabra with a weight only 23 grams. They manufactured this Bluetooth headset because of the movement going on in some US states wherein the use of mobile phones are being banned while driving like in New Jersey.
How do i get to my bluetooth on my mini laptop?
I have a Dell Inspiron mini and it says it has bluetooth on it. I dont have the booklets with me cause im out of town, but i just uploaded some ringtones to it and was wanting to bluetooth it to my phone
Are you sure it says you have bluetooth? I had a Bluetooth icon in the control panel even though I don’t have bluetooth. If you do have bluetooth, just right-click on the file and transfer it through bluetooth.
Or just do it the easy way and use the SD card.

There are several display standards in the monitor that define how the images are viewed on the computer monitor.
Let’s have a look at computer monitors.
There are two specific types of computer monitors; CRT and LCD. LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) monitors are energy efficient computer monitors that come with a variety of benefits.
An LCD monitor, in general, is compact, thin and lightweight. The way an LCD monitor works is comparable to how a digital watch works. It contains transistors that charge liquidized crystals that are located between two plates of glass. Fluorescent tubes provide the source of light and this passes through one layer of the liquid crystals. Typically, an LCD monitor will have a longer life-span, less heat output, save on space and is energy efficient.
A CRT (cathode-ray tube) monitor is still the most common type of computer monitor. They have been used for many years, but more people are opting for the less bulky and lighter LCD Monitor.
A CRT monitor works the same way as your household television. It is usually very bulky and heavy. The cathode in the monitor works by shooting an electronic beam through the vacuum tube that is also located in the monitor. The vacuum tube sends out phosphors that create the glow seen on the monitor screen.
Questions to ask before buying a new monitor.
When shopping for a new computer monitor, you should ask the sales person a few questions prior to handing over your hard-earned money.
First, ask yourself how you intend to use the monitor. Will it be for gaming? Work? This will help you determine the size and capabilities of the monitor you need to purchase.
Next, determine where the monitor will be located. Will it be on a desk that sits flush with the wall? Or is the desk in the middle of the room? Is the desk small or large? This will help you determine the size of the monitor and whether you need a CRT monitor or an LCD monitor. Remember a CRT monitor is large and bulky while the LCD monitor is perfect for small areas.
What kind of resolution and display size is needed? When the sales person tells you the display size of an LCD screen, it will be the exact size he says. With a CRT monitor, you can expect the display size to be about an inch smaller.
If price is a factor, then the CRT monitor will work well for you. It is generally 2-3 times less expensive then an LCD monitor but will provide you with less display area.
Last, determine exactly what size monitor you need based on what you intend to use it for. Computer monitors come in a variety of sizes and it will be a matter of what you want, need and can afford.

How do i repair xp using a USB HDD caddy?
XP has stopped working on my laptop.Can I use the hdd caddy connected to my desktop to repair or reinstall the corrupted OS.I have a boot cd and original oem xp.I have backed up all the data so can format the drive and start over.
you will need to use its own HDDto install the os from disc as the different drivers are dependant on that drive

If you think of an official invitation to any event in the month of December and you could be forgiven for thinking that the event must be a corporate Christmas party. Choosing the right invitation for a Christmas event is an important part of the process of generating good attendance figures. If the Christmas event is a prestigious and glamorous affair then a product with a subtle appearance might be most suitable. The invitation must be eye-catching and must stand out to such a degree that your event takes pride of place over others in this busy period. A product with a pop-up effect would be a good choice particularly one with a sophisticated movement such as with a starburst fold. Adding extra touches to the finish such as a matt laminate with UV varnish also add to the perception of quality. A well designed A6 version of the starburst was used for last year’s BAFTA Awards ceremony.
However, it is “horses for courses” and advice that is good for one type of event might not work for another. At the opposite end of the spectrum to the subtle starbursts are high-action, attention-grabbing, fun products such as those where a set of rubber band powered cubes jump out of a presentation pack. LG Kf600 Venus: a Phone With Two Screens
