Motorola originally announced the manufacture of a new PDA offering a Qwerty keyboard and the thinnest dimensions available on the market around 12 months ago, the model was to be named the Motorola Q.
The handset was dubbed the ‘Blackberry Killer’ and the ‘RAZRBerry’ for its keypad that roughly resembled that of the trademark Blackberry phones and because of its ‘razor like’ measurements, and PDA enthusiasts were all adding the new handset to their wish lists ready for when the phone was released, there were even rumours that some overseas companies were taking pre-orders for the phone for the extra publicity it generated.
However, the manufacturer has stumped them all and released a new version of the phone called the Motorola Q 9h.
This new handset runs on Windows Mobile 6.0, the latest version of the software and is robust and sleek in design whilst packing power and functionality.
The handset will appeal across a broad spectrum from busy professionals through to gadget lovers and even the fashion conscious for its cool design and thin dimensions.
The Q 9h offers HSDPA (High-Speed Downlink Packet Access) technology allowing for fast download speeds of up to 3.6MB per second which makes for quick instant messaging, email access and downloading of new files, applications, ringtones, games and other mobile content.
The device is equipped with a fully optimised Qwerty keyboard for quick and easy text input for emails, text messages and presentations and notes which can all be viewed on the very large 320 x 240 pixel display.
There is also a 2.0 megapixel camera with flash, digital zoom and vide record and playback support via a media player which also facilitates streaming video clips such as news and sports headlines via 3G.
Being a 3G enabled handset opens up a whole world of media download possibilities including new movie trailers and the latest music tracks and albums but more importantly the Motorola Q 9h also features a secondary VGA camera on the front of the phone for video calling where the user can actually see the person they are conversing with in real time.
Wireless connections are possible thank to Bluetooth technology allowing for easy file sharing with compatible mobile phone and other devices such as TVs and laptops whilst the handset can also use bluetooth to connect to a hands free car kit for safe conversations whilst driving. There is even a stereo headset that uses the handsets stereo bluetooth to transfer music and speech wirelessly to the users ear.
With all of this technology the manufacturer has included a MicroSD card slot for extra memory of up to 2GB for storing all of those music, games, downloads and video files plus with a USB 2.0 the handset can be connected to a PC and data can be downloaded and backed up quickly and easily.
The new Motorola Q 9h may not be exactly what the masses were expecting but it certainly does not disappoint when it comes to features and technology. A marked improvement on the original Q-Series and a phone that will sit comfortably in a suit pocket.
How can I unlock a motorola razr v3 to wrok w/ another network??
I wanna find an unlock code for a motorola razr v3 to use it w/ another network for my son. Is there somewhere to find this w/out paying out ass??

OK – I am a V3i Owner in australia and the devices are similar.
1st ly I need to know what network your on, T-Mobile, Optus, Eurotel, Vodafone, SwisseTelecom etc.
Unlock codes cost money, this is a free way to unlock it.
From here there is 2 options,
===OPTION=1 ===========================
1 – You can connect it to your PC and download and install Motorola software updater, Your not going to update it but re-install the software the phone uses. This will remove the network lock becase essentially it will be a new phone.

MAKE SURE THE BATTERY IS FULY CHARGED
Plug the phone in
Run Motorola Software update
It should recognize it
Click start update.
It should ask you if you want to store personal info (Messages Pictures contacts etc.) Click yes if you want to keep that, otherwise click no, this will make the update faster.
An Image of your phone will appear in the top left corner of the window.
After finished backing up personal info, it will check for updates. There isnt any for V3. It should ask you to restore it to factory settings (Unlocked!)
Let it download the software and update it.
Make sure the flip is open.
It will turn off then it will look a little different from usual, It will have white text on a black background, DO NOT PUSH ANY BUTTONS!!
Let it instal and do not disconnect it from the PC. It may also make some odd noises, this is normal.
Once it’s completed it will restore your data and restart a few times. After this it may act up a little but this goes away within a day or two.

Download RSD_Lite (This is used by moto to confugre phones) and fiddle with the options to disable it.
Or you could just buy another razr off ebay. There about $30.
OR! Even better get a Virgin Mobile phone new- these have the best deals and cost as little as $15!

Can I use a verizon global sim card in an unlocked gsm phone?
I upgraded about six months back to an HTC Ozone World Edition on Verizon. It has a sim card, so would it be possible to use that sim card in an unlocked gsm phone? I want to upgrade to a Nexus One but it runs on T-Mobile.
you can not. Verizon uses CDMA technology (no SIM, different type of tower).

Advantages and Disadvantages of Nokia E63-2
Pros:
1. The QWERTY keyboard is very good.
2. WiFi 802.11g compatibility
3. The battery life is great. If you leave your smartphone uncharged, the battery will last a week.
4. Free e-mail
5. Sync with many different devices.
6. Fairly cheap when compared to other phones of this type
7. Full music functionality
8. Phone reception is excellent. You will always have four to five bars. Few drop calls.
9. Great sounding music using Bluetooth stereo
10. Phone Screen is visually stunning.
Cons:
1. Picture quality of the digital camera is poor. The camera is very noisy when you use it. Even when you take pictures outdoors, it makes too much noise.
2. There is no USB cable included when you purchase this phone. The cable is hard to find, and if you use any other device such as a bluetooth you will find that it transfers a lot slower. With any luck, Nokia will include the cable with it’s next model.
3. Volume control button is seemingly absent.
4. The phone appears to be a bit unstable and constantly reboots.
5. Software applications are not available free on Nokia’s ovi store.
6. Phone does not include a GPS (Global Positioning System).
7. CDMA Carriers such as Alltel, Verizon Wireless and Sprint are not supported.
Conclusion:
This is one of the best things that you can buy as far as smartphones go. It’s at a great price, and there is a rebate.
This is an overall great product. There are many phones on the market that just do not deliver what they promise, and you can be rest assured that the Nokie E63-2 delivers on every single thing that it promises. If you want a great phone that’s affordable and full of features that you can actually use, then you should get the E63-2.
Nokia N95 vs Sony Ericsson K850i?
I’m looking to buy a cell phone and i’ve narrowed it down to two choices : the N95 and the K850i. They both have 5 megapixel cameras which is what im looking for. I also want a phone that plays video and music with built in speakers, and a good camera. Im not sure if they both play vids, and which camera is better. What are your opinions on which phone i should get?

Im referring to the N95 (8GB)
the N95-3 is an excellent phone and i have been thinking about buying one also. it IS a Quad band phone so it should work with the international 900/1900 signals as opposed to the US 850/1800, which it works with all of. the N95 DOES play videos and a friend showed me and it is absolutely gorgeous! the mulitmedia keys are just perfect, not always in the way or anything.
i’m not too crazy about the K850i, but it apparently does have a better camera. Nokia’s is a tad bit slow due to the OS i think, not the camera physically. maybe they’d fix it in a firmware update, who knows?
overall Nokia’s tend to be excellent phones. I’m using an 8 year old Nokia right now on T-Mobile and hasn’t failed me yet. my mom had a few Sony Ericssons. they’re nice, but they’ve never really had that “wow factor” that you like.
you know, pulling it out of your pocket and going, wow, nice buy.
overall from reviews i’ve read, the N95 has a pretty good customer satisfaction rating. . . and GPS if that helps
