Samsung Cell Phones And Fuel Cells: The Next Big Innovation
The Japanese technology firm Toshiba has released a portable, palm-sized Fuel-Cell that is capable of recharging two handheld devices, such as Samsung Cell Phones, in a matter of seconds. This is an innovative idea and a great device for those away from electricity for extended periods of time or anyone in the general public looking for on the move, immediate battery recharge. The idea comes at a perfect time when there is so much innovation in the cell phone world yet no out of the box thinking for related items to cell phones.
The Dynario, as the Toshiba portable fuel-cell is called, works like this: A chemical reaction in which methanol is injected into oxygen makes electricity. With this electricity, The Dynario is then attached to a mobile device (Samsung Cell Phone) via a USB cable and the device is charged within seconds. What an innovation! Apparently Toshiba has been researching fuel-cell technology since the mid 1990′s but hadn’t commercialized anything up to this point in time. The Dynario fuel-cells will be sold directly through the Toshiba website, at least to begin business with the product.
This is such a cool innovation as it comes from a tech company that, rather than building the next smartphone in an already very competitive marketplace, have instead found a way to contribute with zero competition to be seen. This is amazing if you consider that this will likely work on any Samsung Cell Phones and smartphones as well as music players and in all likelihood, soon enough it will be available for laptops and a number of other portable devices.
This is the kind of innovation that makes technology so interesting. As a writer my knowledge of anything scientific is quite minimal so to know that a simple chemical reaction in a palm-sized device can create electricity and thus fuel a couple handheld devices is simply beyond me. But what will this lead to in the near future? Who can know for sure but it will be fun to wait and see. While reports from a few decades ago hoped for floating cars and the like, I think we can all still be very pleased with the technological progress that has been made in the last twenty years. And the way things are moving it appears as though it will only continue to get better and better. My bold prediction for the near future is a phone that can recharge via wireless internet. Sounds far-fetched, but we’ll see. You heard it here first!

Yes, people are using this cell phone. I see people on the AT&T Forums have this phone. I have not seen people complain about the echo’s. You might want to check out some of the reviews and see what the cons are on this phone though. Based off of that, you should see if your mom had a defective phone. IF she does,contact warranty exchange

Sony Cell Phones And The New Environment Friendly Hazel
Sony Cell Phones have unveiled one of its newest phones, the Hazel. The Hazel is not your average phone. While it incorporates the many new technologies that are expected in new phones today it also brings a new aspect to the table. The name Hazel may help guide you in the right direction if you are not able to guess. The Hazel, by Sony Cell Phones, is an environmentally friendly mobile phone.
So what constitutes an environmentally safe or friendly cell phone? The lines can blur here, however it seems that Sony Cell Phones has done a good job of not just placing a label on it with giving it the proper “green” features. These features make it part of the Sony-Ericsson Green Heart Program, help to reduce CO2 emissions, among other environmentally conscious specifications. These include being made of recycled plastic materials, an e-manual embedded into the phone, a condensed user guide, it is free of hazardous chemicals, a green calculator, the walk mate eco application, a charger with low power consumption, minimal packaging and waterborne paint. That is seemingly a very honest effort to make the phone environmentally friendly.
But, this is not simply a phone for tree huggers and the like, rather it has many other excellent, standard phone features. These include a quality voice feature through noise shield, clear voice and intelligent voice adaptation, Google Maps and Search, GPS, easy access to social networking sites such as Facebook, Myspace and Twitter as well as free weather forecasts from Accuweather, A 5 megapixel camera and even face detection features. It offers 10 hours of talk time and 430 hours of standby time.
So perhaps it is time to throw out some of our ideas about “going green” and general liberal ideals. We can be honest when saying that this phone will not be saving the world. However, if it does cut down on an individual’s carbon foot print, what’s not to like about that. It offers longer talk time than many cell phones, has many similar or better features than most phones and it’s not sucking everything it can out of this world. So why not get one?
It seems inevitable that phones and electronics in general, will become more and more conscious of the environment. This transition may be made either to keep their collective conscious clear, maybe to avoid being pegged as having a large carbon footprint or maybe to appeal to the large liberal “green” movement. This would positively impact us all, regardless of the true intentions behind the change.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Nokia E63-2
Pros:
1. The QWERTY keyboard is very good.
2. WiFi 802.11g compatibility
3. The battery life is great. If you leave your smartphone uncharged, the battery will last a week.
4. Free e-mail
5. Sync with many different devices.
6. Fairly cheap when compared to other phones of this type
7. Full music functionality
8. Phone reception is excellent. You will always have four to five bars. Few drop calls.
9. Great sounding music using Bluetooth stereo
10. Phone Screen is visually stunning.
Cons:
1. Picture quality of the digital camera is poor. The camera is very noisy when you use it. Even when you take pictures outdoors, it makes too much noise.
2. There is no USB cable included when you purchase this phone. The cable is hard to find, and if you use any other device such as a bluetooth you will find that it transfers a lot slower. With any luck, Nokia will include the cable with it’s next model.
3. Volume control button is seemingly absent.

Contact your carrier to see if that phone will work there or if you can have the international service added to the phone. Your best bet is to just get a phone from a store where you are. Many times, you can get better rates than your overseas carrier will be willing to offer. SIM’s have software that carry encryption or access settings and codes that grant access to a specific network and carrier. The encryption and the hardware are the property of the carrier and you can get in VERY serious trouble by even trying to gain access to the information, need less, trying to decrypt it. It is never worth the trouble.

A permanent access to all your emails… You dream about it? Blackberry phone did it. The BlackBerry is a wireless handheld device introduced in 1999 which supports push email, mobile telephone, text messaging, internet faxing, web browsing and other wireless information services. Same size as a PDA, with a mini keyboard, BlackBerry device allows you to receive and reply to emails.
How does it work? Connected to a cell phone network (Cingular BlackBerry, T-Mobile BlackBerry, Sprint BlackBerry, Nextel BlackBerry and Verizon BlackBerry), terminal BlackBerry regularly query the email server of the user. When a new email arrives, the terminal signals it. The user can then read the message and reply. Innovation comes from the fact that synchronization of the emails with the messaging server is real time through the cell phone network it is connected and it supports both GSM, GPRS and UMTS.
Of course, BlackBerry service is more specifically dedicated to companies. The devices are very popular with some businesses, where they are primarily used to provide email delivery to roaming employees. To fully integrate the BlackBerry cell phone into a company, the installation of BlackBerry Enterprise Server is required.
But the popular device BlackBerry that allows reading emails using cell phone network is forbidden in some companies. Indeed, some security experts fear about communications being intercepted. However, Research In Motion (RIM), editor of BlackBerry, claims that all the traffic is encrypted from start to end by the Blackberry servers installed in companies. In fact it has the exact same security level as a traditional VPN if correctly configured.
A Blackberry handheld allows users to fulfill their need of communication but also give them the feeling of control that a phone conversation doesn’t offer. More and more professionals often work in mobility situation and need to permanently be connected to computing system of the company.
According to a recent study, one third of business users show signs of BlackBerry addiction almost similar to those of alcoholism. Some people even use the ironical term “crackberries” to name the phenomenon. Also, most users are supposed to get BlackBerry devices to enhance their productivity but their constant attachment to email make it hard for them to concentrate on other things when they are out of office.
The professional Blackberry is a “all in one” terminal, phone/PDA/messaging, which design is optimized to allow users to manage emails on the go and to access various applications. The original BlackBerry device had a monochrome display, but all current handsets have color displays.
Most BlackBerry devices is equipped with a full QWERTY keyboard, The ease of keying in and sending not only emails, but also SMS, is particularly practical, even if they do not have a BlackBerry.
However, the BlackBerry has no memory extension, no 3G compatibility, no camera and not much style. What is more, multimedia functions still remain low compared to other Symbian or Windows mobile. That is until today with RIM unveiling its first and brand new multimedia phone dubbed the new BlackBerry Pearl. But still BlackBerry devices depend on mobile phone service coverage and are not WIFI compatible unlike similar handheld devices that are on the market now.
RIM BlackBerry is increasingly integrating instant messaging into their new devices and software. RIM offers its own proprietary BlackBerry Instant Messenger, but also offer a Yahoo Chat and Google Talk clients and probably an upcoming BlackBerry MSN Messenger client.
According to RIM, BlackBerry PDA is used by about 5.5 million users worldwide.
Blackberry is used by almost 3 million users in America. Some sources say about 1 million government employees are regular users. Canada is another one of the key market of the company.
While including the usual PDA applications such as address book, calendar, to-do lists, etc… you can always download more BlackBerry software like games, ringtones, themes, webclient and other applications.
What GSM phones work with 2006 BMW 750′s Bluetooth?
What GSM (and UMTS/HSDPA) phones/PDA’s woould work with the Bluetooth interface in my 2006 BMW 750? I now use a Motorola PEBL (same internally as RAZR). I have tried Nokia 6630 and E61 with no success–calls can be made and received, but the phone cannot upload the phone book to the car.
BMW Web site is generally useless–they list a very small number of phones, many of them not in retail any more. Even BMW own Owners’ Circle has not been helpful.
Does anybody know what phones work? I am primarily interested in GSM phones since I have T-Mobile service. Phones of interest are Nokia N80 and E61, Sony Ericsson P990, T-Mobile MDA/Cingular 3125, various Windows Mobile phones, phones with Symbian OS in general.

any bluetooth phone should work. there was a big lawsuit about 2.5 years ago when motorola/verizon crippled some of the compatabilities with the bluetooth feature and they paid heavy for it. they should all work now.
if anything, just ask the rep to come to ur car with the phone u want to purchase and pair it up before you buy. i do it for all my customers who ask. if they are unwilling or too busy to do that, you always have the return period to return it but again, i’m sure you wont have to return it becuause it will work.
