Ever since the beginning of digital photography in the early years of this century, digital photo printing has always followed behind its footsteps. Although there are still a lot of things to improve in digital photo printing as compared to traditional dark room printing, we can say that it is somehow at par if not at level with it. The combination of a great digital camera and a good photo printer often makes for good photographs. But this setup alone will not really produce great photos because one thing that can really guarantee great output is to use the best paper for printing. This problem can be answered by choosing a computer photo paper.
But why a computer photo special paper you might ask? Why can’t we print in any copy paper? Please take note that no one is stopping you from printing your photos onto any normal paper. But you are only cheating yourself and you are also cheating your memories. Remember that the reason you took those photos is to capture a moment in time that might not happen again. The question posted above can simply be answered by looking at the name of the paper itself. It is a type of paper designed specifically for the computer when printing photos.
It is easy to spot photos printed using proper paper and those printed using normal copy paper because of its many advantages. Pictures printed using the correct papers have stronger highlights and deeper blacks among many others. They also have smoother skin tones, richer colors, more realistic contrast and more excellent details. All these things can be summarized by saying that it produces better quality photos.
There are a lot more things to consider when it comes to using a computer photographic paper like the substance of the paper or the type of paper itself. Using a glossy photographic paper will mimic traditional photographic paper however there are 3 other types to choose from to produce more artistic pictures. Matte paper produces photos with sharper images and more vibrant colors. Satin paper reduces glare and can resist fingerprints while high gloss paper will produce brilliant colors and rich skin tones.
Whatever type of computer paper one chooses, whether gloss, high gloss, matte or satin, generally this paper is made for printing photos using a computer printer. In the end, you will produce better prints with the correct paper.

Phone Wall Charger
One of the most common accessories a person carries is the cell phone. It certainly is no surprised that they can get lost. They come in such miniature designs these days, that keeping track of them sometimes can be a little difficult.
Cell Phones and Smart phones aren’t cheap either. You may have paid $49 for yours with a 2-year contract, but ladies and gentlemen, that is a subsidy provided by the handset manufacturer, enticing you to get their phone and the service from their preferred carrier. If you ever lose it and don’t have phone Insurance, you know that a replacement is outrageously priced…like in the $500 range.
In addition to purchasing phone insurance, ZOMM is offering a device that is much more affordable and practical. The Zomm is an ingenious device that keeps you from parting with your cellphone, no matter how forgetful you are. After you’ve paired ZOMM with your mobile phone, you can attach ZOMM to yourself or your key chain, and as soon as you stray too far from the phone, it will start to vibrate and eventually sound the alarm.
ZOMM can also be programmed to call the local emergency number, from anywhere in the world, when you press its panic button. Zomm also doubles as a speakerphone. “Mobile phones are packed full of personal information and confidential business communication, so losing one is a nightmare for most people,” said Henry Penix, co-founder of ZOMM. “My wife originally thought of ZOMM to prevent our family from leaving our phones at restaurants or coffee shops. ZOMM is smaller than a normal electronic car key and easily attaches to a key ring. It fits comfortably in your pocket or purse and can even attach to a piece of clothing or workout gear. As a personal security device, ZOMM will sound a panic alarm and/or call for emergency assistance from anywhere in the world with just one press of a button. With its speakerphone capabilities, you can speak to emergency personnel without ever touching your mobile phone.
“ZOMM is a device that not only keeps your mobile phone secure, but also helps keep you and your family safe,” said Laurie Penix, ZOMM’s co-founder. “With two kids in college and a senior in high school, I feel better knowing they have a panic alarm that sounds an ear piercing alert to fend off a would-be attacker, and calls emergency assistance if they choose.”
ZOMM will be available for retail in the second quarter of 2010, in both black and white color options. It uses a lithium-ion battery with a single charge lasting approximately three days. ZOMM also comes with a standard micro USB wall charger, a micro USB charger that connects with any computer (for updates and activation) and optional clips for ease of use. No word on pricing.
Is a mobile phone charger more expensive to use to charge a phone than a USB cable?
I have a sony ericsson phone which came with a USB cable which i usually use instead of the charger to charge the phone. Does it use less energy to charge the phone if I charge it using the USB cable instead of the wall charger? I would charge it whilst I use the computer so I wouldn’t be wasting energy by just having the computer on to charge the phone.

When Ive used the USB cable to charge it before its taken about the same amount of time to charge then phone.
Well I would think so as it is basically using power from your computers USB hub which the power is already on. If you charge from the wall then you obviously have two plugs on so i would say yes.
