IPhone vs PDA for internet connection?
I am trying to decide between a Blackberry PDA and an IPhone. I want to be able to access the internet all day with a good internet browning experience. I would love your thoughts regarding PDAs or the IPhone for internet connection. (or any other suggestions you have for a small portable internet connection)
I thought about buying a Dell Mini, but internet access would be $60 a month which I really don’t want to spend. Cell phone internet would be $30 a month.

The best internet browsing on a phone is ONLY given by the iPhone as its browser is the BEST available right now.
There are other PDAs like the Storm and touch screens from LG/Samsung that can give you a good internet browsing experience.
If I’d have to choose, it would be between the iPhone and the Storm.
Since I already chose, I got the iPhone and I am totally satisfied by it, more than the Blackberry itself.

LG GD880 Mini – Utilsing Cutting Edge Technology
The LG GD880 Mini was officially unveiled in the UK in April, and the buzz about this phone has truly taken off.

Can netbooks replace mobile phones and blackberries?
I hear some people use their netbooks(mini laptops) as mobile phones, even if they are not as easy to carry or as convenient(although a few are only slightly larger than large blackberries), but they can receive and make calls. Would using a netbook to make calls be cheaper than using a cell-phone? Does it simply need a blue-tooth device to make it just like a cell-phone? I hear some people with netbooks get rid of their cell phones/blackberries and just make calls through the internet. My desktop PC is very old and just crashed, and my cell-phone service stinks and there are sometimes hidden charges, so sometimes I wonder.
It seems blackberries and netbooks are evolving toward being practically the same thing – portable mini-computers with internet/mobile phone capability.Thanks.
If you have skype or some VoIP program (voice over internet protocol), then you can use your netbook as a phone anywhere that you have internet access. However, if you’re not in range of a wireless network, then you have to have a mobile phone with 3G access and a data plan to accompany it, then you can access the internet from anywhere and still use your netbook’s VoIP.

With the many service providers available and the multitude of handset models around, owning a cell phone has elevated status from being a communication tool to a standard lifestyle and social device.
Nowadays, cell phones are not just cell phones. They can be video and sound recorders, Internet browsers, music composers, mp3 players, mini cameras, data storage devices and many others.
Users can even talk to each other via video phone and make their own movies using their phones. They can listen to hours’ worth of music on cell phones with relatively greater memory storage capacities. Some can even be used as a portable unit to transfer data files from the computer to another terminal. And with manufacturers constantly coming up with new innovations, who knows what cell phones can do next?
In Japan, particularly, people are so obsessed with cell phones that majority of them change their units monthly or whenever a new model comes out. Some even own more than two.

But that’s just a prediction. Of course, there still are people who prefer that the different media functions remain separate.

And since manufacturers constantly develop and distribute upgraded versions, their price tags are bound to become lower, making them a lot more accessible even to people in the lower income bracket. Children may even be able to pay for their own phone bills through prepaid connections.
It ss a small world, yes. And it’s getting smaller everytime a new communication device is introduced. Living in this day and age, we are already considered lucky.
