I bought a Bluetooth headset, but I have a compatible phone with BT. Can I get an adapter?

A while ago I bought a headset wireless for my iPod. It uses Bluetooth, an adapter connected to a port for headphones of my iPod and even with headphones. I recently bought a Bluetooth headset on the Web without having to do the research first. I have a Bluetooth compatible phone (I have the T-Mobile Sidekick 2), but I had imagined that come with a similar transmitter / adapter thing. Turns out … does not. Maybe there adapter for the phones? (I no longer have the headphones, so you can not prove that.) will be required to connect to the ear / MIC, as my wired handsfree headset is not, rather than listening and speaking.

In fact, you can get an adapter. Cardo makes a decent one, as does a company called Jabra. It will plug into the headphone jack on the phone, and allow most of the normal functions a traditional BT phone.
