LG GD880 Mini – Utilsing Cutting Edge Technology
The LG GD880 Mini was officially unveiled in the UK in April, and the buzz about this phone has truly taken off.
Now with an up-close and personal view of it – let’s take a look the phones well equipped features. The phone measures 10.6mm in depth and weighs just under 100g, making one of the smallest and lightest phones available. The new smart phone is well equipped with a 3.2, capacitive touch screen with multi-touch support, built in GPS receiver and 5-megapixil auto focus camera. It’s TFT capacitive touch screen display (480×854 pixels), is a durable scratch resistant surface making a great phone for anyone who is always on the go. It also features Bluetooth connectivity, DivX support for movies, and Wi-Fi connectivity. The phone also features a powerful SNS system, allowing user to easily access popular social media network sites like Twitter and Facebook, while also getting instant updates of what their friends are doing.
The next-generation phone offers new mobile technology that also allows user to sync data on their phones with their home PCs. Browsing history, Photos, Video Clips, and even Calendars can be updated and accessed. The phone is built with extreme quality, the edges of phone provide for a gripped and reliable feel. With its super small size it is simply amazing that LG was able to integrate the 3.2-inch screen. The phone looks a bit like a small IPhone 4, except more jagged and angular.
The GD880 Mini is the very first phone by Korean Manufacturer to feature the companies new proprietary WebKit-Based Phantom Browser. This new browser gives the ability to the user to open up 10 tabs at the same time while browsing the internet. This feature is especially great for anyone web savvy, keeping old tabs open instead of bookmarking can prove to be essential for saving time. With full flash browsing and faster download speeds, LG hopes to secure the GD880 as the top mini cell phone on the market.
This phone should be able to steal a large percentage of the market share in the UK and Europe. As smart phones continue to make progress the biggest drawback is their size. LG’s creation of the new mini GD880 boasts almost all of the great features you can find in large bulky smart phones available. This phone is perfect for anyone who is always on the go and who likes the features of a large smart phone but desires a smaller lightweight option. With its large 900 mAh battery, you will be able to make phone calls and make twitter posts on the go, while your friends with their huge smart phones run for their chargers. All in all the LG GD 880 mini is one of the top phones on the market, and should be on the wish list of many for months to come.

Can netbooks replace mobile phones and blackberries?
I hear some people use their netbooks(mini laptops) as mobile phones, even if they are not as easy to carry or as convenient(although a few are only slightly larger than large blackberries), but they can receive and make calls. Would using a netbook to make calls be cheaper than using a cell-phone? Does it simply need a blue-tooth device to make it just like a cell-phone? I hear some people with netbooks get rid of their cell phones/blackberries and just make calls through the internet. My desktop PC is very old and just crashed, and my cell-phone service stinks and there are sometimes hidden charges, so sometimes I wonder.
It seems blackberries and netbooks are evolving toward being practically the same thing – portable mini-computers with internet/mobile phone capability.Thanks.
If you have skype or some VoIP program (voice over internet protocol), then you can use your netbook as a phone anywhere that you have internet access. However, if you’re not in range of a wireless network, then you have to have a mobile phone with 3G access and a data plan to accompany it, then you can access the internet from anywhere and still use your netbook’s VoIP.
