I understand the premise, but still need a little help. I have a hp w2207h monitor (22″) with a HDMI & a VCA input. My desktop has two DVI connections, but I have a DVI to VGA adapter attached to it. Ultimately, I would like to possibly run them both through a KVM switch so I can flip the source back and forth without having to plug and unplug them every time. Or can I do that through the TV settings?
I know I need a Microsoft Xbox VGA cable, but then what? Do I get a HDMI to DVI cable to run to my computer and run both through the KVM switch?

If you have internal speakers then I’m lost because I don’t think anyone makes HDMI KVM switch, so that would be a problem, but speakers in monitors are rare.
